MSBC Core Values

Our Core Values

We value:

A Dedication to The Bible

We will endeavor to faithfully preach and teach its eternal, life-transformation truths through our worship services, Sunday School, Bible Study, and ministries.

We will use the Bible to constantly affirm God's direction for our lives and our church as we navigate through all of life's challenges, and all of the cultural changes which we will face.

We will be doers of the Word and not hearers only.

A Dedication to People

We will be witnesses to others by sharing the love of God as it is presented through the gospel of Christ.

We will strive to equip the church member to become a Great Commission Christian that is confident in sharing their faith in Christ.

We will foster opportunities for people to meet Christ through various ministry events and developing relationships with transformed members through all ministries.

A Dedication to Worship

We will foster worship that is biblically correct.

We desire that our worship services bring the worshiper into a life-changing, dynamic experience with the living God.

We will enter worship services with the expectation that lives will change in the midst of our worship.

A Dedication to Life Transformation

We will strive for our New Members' ministry to be the first experience in life transformation for the church member.

We will encourage each church member to be a participant in a ministry for the purpose of deeper and more need-specific life transformation.

We will strive for each church member to develop the necessary spiritual discipline of prayer and Bible study to achieve personal daily intimacy with Christ.

We will develop a personal follow-up system for each church member.

A Dedication to Service

We will provide an ongoing training process that will equip each member to be confident and qualified to serve.

We will assist each member to discover their God-given giftedness and abilities at every stage of' life.

We will encourage service by creating an environment of joy and fellowship among those that serve the Lord.

We will encourage every member to be involved in at least one ministry.

A Dedication to Godly Leadership

We will seek to join God where He is working.

We will develop lay leaders who are kingdom minded and passionate about winning the world to Christ.

We will develop the ability to determine and anticipate the needs of our lay leaders and deliver solutions that meet those needs.

We will become a church that leads the way in kingdom expansion.

A Dedication to Stewardship

We will endeavor to teach that stewardship is the proper management of all God has given us to expand His kingdom.

We will encourage each member to give at least a biblical tithe of his income.

We will teach church members to use the things of the world without being in love with the world. We will not expend our precious resources on that which does not fulfill our vision.

A Dedication to Biblical Community

We will facilitate biblical community through our worship services and educational ministries.

We will help to equip families to become the primary place where biblical community is learned and practiced.

We will endeavor to ensure that each member is a part of a ministry where they can connect with part of our biblical community.

We will intentionally provide a worship experience where spiritual community is celebrated and practiced.

A Dedication to Unity

We will endeavor to show love one for another.

We will realize that though we come from different backgrounds and have different levels of spiritual growth, we are still one body in Christ.

We will respect each other, listen to each other, and communicate our opinions in love.

A Dedication to Teamwork

We will use our spiritual gifts and talents to support and serve one another.

We will serve in any capacity needed whether or not it is our preferred ministry.

We will not allow someone else's workload to get too heavy to bear; we will pitch in and help.

We will be committed to our work in the church realizing that when we are absent or fail to do our part, the church will suffer.

A Dedication to Encouragement

We will share our testimonies realizing that others may be facing a struggle that we have overcome.

We will be patient, kind, and understanding so that others may be encouraged.

We will congratulate one another for accomplishments great or small.

We will believe God's promises.

A Dedication to Friendliness

We will welcome visitors to our church with a warm smile and a handshake.

We will take time to spend time with visitors, new members, and ministry team members.

A Dedication to Strong Families

We will encourage families to worship together, pray together, and study the Bible together.

We will be intentional about developing messages and opportunities for family members to realize their role in the family according to God's Word.

We will implement ministries to meet the spiritual and emotional needs of families.
